We welcome cosplayers to all Japanese Art Festival events, but also ask that all those attendees who opt to cosplay follow some basic rules to ensure everyone is safe and everyone has fun.
Remember that we will also be giving prizes for the most inventive and colourful ideas on the day!
Changing and Cloakroom facilities
Please be aware that The Swiss Church has limited changing facilities and you will need to utilise the venue toilets if you do wish to change on the day. However please be aware that space is very limited. Please respect the venue and make sure that you tidy up after yourself too.
We also kindly request that all guests arrive dressed in a reasonably presentable manner, even if they are getting changed at the venue.
Weapons and props
Cosplayers may bring a prop as part of their costume provided it is lightweight, no longer than 150cm and has no sharp edges.
For security and safety reasons realistic replica guns will not be permitted inside the venue. Weapons crafted out of soft materials such as foam, cardboard etc. should be fine however.
All props will be checked at the door, and if your prop is unsuitable you will be asked to store it with reception until you leave the venue.
